I am new to the system, and generally frustrated with the documentation. I have emailed goldline support. I heard back on one question, but not on the other... It has been over a month.

I need to setup a production test of raw speaker drivers. I can to frequency response, and harmonic distortion. I need to do rub-buzz testing as well. Can some one give me an idea of how to do a pass/fail rub-buzz test? I have done some FFT measurements with 125Hz Excitation and can see the rub or buzz, but haven't figured how to do a pass/fail.

Ptest 6.6.3
SLX 6.8.0.16

Is there a book or white papers that would go into more details on this?

Thanks,
Brian

  Hi Brian;

  I don't know if you have found your answers, and I have only read about these tests in my LinearX literature so I can't help. It appears to be a difficult task.

  I think Charlie Hughes may still be on the advisory board and may be your best bet for help.

  I would find him in the members list and PM him.

  Best of luck,
                  Barry.
